Very Balanced and Clear Instruction

What a wonderful video. I really got a lot out of it and was able to go back several times to reinforce the techniques Andy explains. I find this video to be very helpful to me as I work to get better at design and how to better master color.

Excellent Instruction

Andy Evansen is a master watercolorist and instructor. He has a way of distilling information and making it easy to understand. And, this video offers a great pairing of that information / instruction, and excellent filming.

Great video for the studio artist wanting to paint plein-air

I've been toying with the idea of painting watercolors in plein-air, but didn't know where to begin. Andy's video will definitely get me out of my studio. I often get lost in the details and Andy showed how to paint just a few, close to the completion and let the viewer's eye fill in the rest. I also enjoyed that he showed how to select a subject and then decided what to include and what's not important. Seeing how he begins with a value study in Payne's gray and how it translated into the painting was very helpful. I'd love to take a workshop with Andy.....
