What If I Told You There's Just One Step In The Painting Process That Ensures You Get A Successful Landscape Painting?

Professional artist and illustrator Paul Kratter shares his award-winning approach, including his “3Q” method that improves values, colors, and intensities!

“Landscape Painting & Design” is about how to master the design, the most critical part of your painting, and how to apply it to create a successful landscape painting.

Paul will give you a full demonstration starting with the most important step of all, the sketch.

Most artists, strangely enough, completely skip the crucial sketching phase. In this video, Paul Kratter will show you how to sketch your way to success, putting you miles ahead of those who skip this step.

The humble sketch, when done right, gives your paintings more atmosphere, more drama, and more elements that engage the viewer’s senses.

Without this step, not only will your paintings look amateurish, but you’ll also have a hard time solving problems you’ll encounter later on as you‘re painting.

He’ll share with you what to put in, what to leave out, composition tips, design secrets he learned throughout his 20+ years as a professional illustrator, and much more.

Once you’ve mastered this important step, your landscape painting will look much better… and your viewers will love you for it.

You’ll also discover interesting lessons like how to achieve better atmosphere and depth when painting mountains…

…the simple trick to make mountains look tall and majestic…

…how to make the background recede into the distance…

….the best way to paint colorful grasses without making mud…

….tips for painting realistic rocks (NOT potatoes!)...

…how to paint water with sparkle and depth (another key feature in mastering design)...

…how to use the cross hatching technique in your sketch to get your values right plus many other tips and strategies.

He’s also sharing his “3Q” method that helps create paintings with better values, colors, and intensities.

You’re going to learn a variety of techniques, including:

  • Paul Kratter’s unique brushwork that builds confidence…
  • How to start with a well defined sketch using 3 values…
  • How to block in a painting starting with the shadow shapes…
  • How to refine a “bad” area of your painting…
  • plus so much more!

Your journey towards becoming the best artist you can be is about to start.

To do that, you need a great instructor. So let’s meet him!

Excellent landscape painting demo from beginning to end! Mr. Kratter has a wonderful disposition in regards to painting and life! He makes you feel like he's talking to a friend. I come from a design/illustration background so I was naturally drawn to his painting style. It was nice to see all the steps he takes while explaining his decisions. Thanks much!
