WRITE A REVIEW
Format
Video Length: 1 Hour 23 Minutes

From smooth skin, to porous skin and blemishes, to fine and deep-set wrinkles, this video will give you the drawing techniques you need to make realistic portraits in graphite.

Along the way you'll learn pencil drawing techniques, how to create values of textures in light and shadow, how to draw with your eraser, how to fix mistakes, and more.

Drawing Lessons Featured in This Video:

  • Six different skin textures in light and shadow
  • Learn pencil drawing techniques for blending, crosshatching, layering, erasing, and more
  • Draw a range of textures from fine lines around eyes, to subtle shadows on smooth skin

Please note: This workshop focuses on specific skin textures and Killaby does not finish a completed portrait during the lessons. She also does not do a stand-alone chapter on her materials specifically. She does, however, do a great job explaining exactly what tool (lead softness, blending tool, etc) she’s using while she’s working.
